A course week on recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), is organized by the Chair “Urban Mines”, as part of the ATHENS European program.
The ATHENS European week is a training program for students proposed during their engineer or academic studies. This biannual event is a week of inter-institution exchanges, organized by Engineering schools of ParisTech and Europeans universities from the ATHENS network.
The Chair “Urban Mines” scheduled a training week within the framework the ATHENS European program, from the 13th to the 17th of November 2017, at MINES ParisTech.
The purpose of this course entitled « Circular economy and eco-design – Urban Mine case » is to transmit information to students which allow them understanding the context, issues and challenges of recycling the WEEE.
During 5 days, the ATHENS course of the Chair “Urban Mines”, will talk about the recycling of WEEE, under regulatory, organizational, economic and technical aspects thanks to experts’ presentations from the institutional, academic and industrial sectors.
A visit of a recycling center of WEEE is organized on the site of FRICOM Recycling in Bruyères sur Oise. All the lectures, studies case and testimonies will be done in English. The week will end by the evaluation of the study case prepared by students during the week.
